A beautifully crafted Edwardian sterling silver and enamel box, made in 1902 by the respected silversmith Samuel M Levi. This charming piece features a finely detailed enamel depiction of the Edinburgh city crest, complete with vibrant colouring and crisp heraldic imagery, set within an ornate silver cartouche.
The box opens to reveal a gilded interior, a hallmark of quality Edwardian silverwork, adding warmth and contrast to the polished exterior. The inside carrys full, clear Birmingham 1902 hallmarks, including the maker’s mark SML for Samuel M Levi.
Originally intended as a snuff box or small trinket box, its compact form and elegant finish make it a delightful collector’s item and a wonderful gift for lovers of Scottish history or fine silver.
