A striking, original pair of early 20th-century German Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) slender amphora form vases produced by the renowned Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF). Standing approximately 8 inches tall, this matched pair features an elegant, elongated tapered body framed by dramatic openwork high-arched handles and elevated on sculptural, three-point tripod feet. The rim is highlighted by a delicate, relief-embossed botanical laurel band, blending Classical revival motifs with signature Art Nouveau fluidity.
Condition: Preserved in authentic antique condition with a rich, aged patina. The underlying warm metal tones show through where the original silver plate has softened over time, adding incredible historical character. Clean and unrestored, allowing the buyer the choice to keep the warm, atmospheric oxidation or polish to a high shine.
