Vintage Dino Rofi Maiolica Cabinet Plate – S. Lucia Siena, Italy
A striking hand-decorated Italian maiolica cabinet plate by Dino Rofi, produced for S. Lucia, Siena, showcasing the rich colours and ornate Renaissance-inspired designs for which the workshop is renowned. Decorated in vibrant cobalt blue, golden yellow and ivory, the plate features a finely detailed central rosette surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves, floral motifs and mythical winged griffins, all finished with a lustrous hand-painted glaze.
The reverse bears the "S. Lucia Siena Italia" backstamp, identifying it as an authentic piece from the celebrated Tuscan pottery tradition. These decorative plates remain highly sought after for their craftsmanship and make an impressive addition to any collection of Italian ceramics or European decorative arts.
