1808 Parliamentary Act – Reign of George III
This document is an authentic printed leaf from the British Parliament during the 48th year of the reign of King George III. Issued in 1808, this Act (Cap. CXXXIX) authorised funds for the Crown to be raised through public lotteries a fascinating glimpse into the financial and social mechanisms of early 19th-century Britain.
Beautifully adorned with the Royal Arms at the top and set in crisp early-19th-century type, the document is printed on high quality rag paper typical of the era. The page remains in good antique condition, displaying natural age toning, minor edge wear, and light foxing consistent with a 200 year old legislative paper.
Perfect for collectors of Georgian history, legal ephemera, or early lottery memorabilia, this is a genuine piece of Britain’s past ideal for framing or gifting to a lover of historic documents.
