Huntley & Palmers “Book” Biscuit Tin 1903
A wonderfully imaginative and highly collectible Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin, designed to resemble a stack of classic leatherbound books. Produced around 1903, this iconic tin showcases the company’s flair for creative packaging and remains one of their most sought-after designs.
On one side, the tin features richly printed faux book spines complete with gilt-style detailing, decorative tooling and wonderfully aged patina. The reverse continues the illusion with marbled page edges. A metal strap encircles the tin, enhancing the look of an old, well-used volume case.
The marbled edges reads “Huntley & Palmers Biscuits – Reading & London”, confirming its manufacture by the world-famous biscuit makers celebrated for their elaborate collectible tins.
